Initial Contact: Approximately 2200 hrs EST

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

    Contact Report:

Enemy Encountered: Followers/Creatures of Soa, the Infernal One

    Friendly/Neutral Encountered: N/A

Contact Summary: At 2200 hrs EST, Alpha Company received orders to descend on Belsavis in order to contain a sensitive situation that lay deep within the unexplored regions of the prison planet. Both the Republic military and Jedi Order were overseeing the operation, to ensure that the dark secrets of the objective, Code-name: "Eternity Vault," did not rise to the surface. Once the transport ship entered planetary orbit, aerial defenses began to open fire on the attack party, leaving Alpha Company with no choice but to touch down planet-side via escape pods. Once on the ground, Sergeants Mij and Ysmir laid out the battle strategy against the enemy guarding the main entrance: two heavy turrets with a small contingent of enemy forces. One the initial battle was finished, Alpha Company came into contact with an advanced battle droid with multiple weapons systems and advanced targeting logic. After a couple of rounds with the droid, Alpha Company was able to secure the entrance, and make their way deep into the caverns below ground.

Once inside, Alpha faced multiple automated defenses in the form of defense probe droids. All were very formidable, but were defeated with focused fire and tactical movement, all coordinated by Sergeants Mij and Ysmir. After clearing multiple corridors of the droids, Alpha descended down to the fiery depths of the vault, stumbling upon a massive creature only seen in nightmares. Having to bound from multiple stone platforms, dodging pillars of molten rock and waves of smaller creatures, the difficult battle was won by Alpha Company, but the mission was far from over. After navigating the molten underground pit, Alpha made their way to the surface, evading detection of the local wildlife and enemy troops as well. Being lead to the next objective by Sergeant Mij, the group of Soldiers came across two pylons. At this time, Lieutenant Neves, and Specialists Chiban, Jromwald, and Avak reported in for the mission. The pylons both had a series of shapes that had to be coordinated into a specific pattern, both being of ancient Rakata technological origin. Failing the first few attempts with having to reset the pylons, and fighting off the defense forcres, Alpha Company gained tactical superiority once enemy combat tactics had been analyzed and predicted. After the cracking the pylons and opening the main entrance to the final objective, Alpha Company stumbled upon the main objective, Code-Name: Soa, the Infernal One. After reviewing intelligence gathered about the target, Alpha then moved to intercept and take down the HVT, facing many different abilities and environmental dangers. From dodging psychic abilities to leaping from great heights to different levels of the cavern, the fight became incredibly intense. Massive amounts of ordinance and tactical airstrikes helped to achieve the overall outcome, but the willingness of the Troopers, combined with the leadership of NCO's and Officers were what ultimately won the day, and completion of the mission. Once any useful intel and artifacts were gathered, the team was exfiltrated from the cavern, to return back aboard the Gav Daragon for a full debrief.

    Positive Points:
    • Following orders of seniors, especially during boss fights and tough mobs.
    • Overall turnout and combination of players (Tank, Heals, DPS).
    • Adaptability and flexibility, especially on areas of repeated attempts. Never give up!
    • Participation of the guild, and willingness to conduct additional Operations in the future.

    Negative Points:
    • Excessive chatter in Mumble, especially when NCO's / Officers were attempting to communicate with the group.
    • Complaints of who got to loot what, and rolling before the Master Looter was ready.

Overall Assessment and Recommendation: Once the group got going, and additional players arrived, the whole operation became extremely successful and rewarding. I believe that working our way up the Operations chain of quests will make us better players as a whole, and much more flexible in the PR perspective of things. There are a few kinks to iron out in terms of voice comms while in Mumble, but nothing a few times of perfecting raids will not fix. Great job to everyone, definitely looking forward to additional Operations!
