Military Covenant

Soldiers will be called upon to make personal sacrifices – including the ultimate sacrifice –; in the service of the Republic. In putting the needs of the Republic and the Army before their own, they forego some of the rights enjoyed by those outside the Armed Forces. In return, Republic soldiers must always be able to expect fair treatment, to be valued and respected as individuals, and that they will be sustained and rewarded by commensurate terms and conditions of service. In the same way the unique nature of military operations means that the Army differs from all other institutions, and must be sustained and provided for accordingly by the Republic. This mutual obligation forms the Military Covenant between the Republic, the Army and each individual soldier; an unbreakable common bond of identity, loyalty and responsibility which has sustained the Army throughout its history. It has perhaps its greatest manifestation in the annual commemoration of Armistice Day, when the Republic keeps covenant with those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, giving their lives in action.

    *** Personal Information ***
Are you over the age of 18? Yes
    Time Zone: Central
    Character Class: Smuggler - Scoundrel
    Real Life Information:

Easy going and LAID BACK, would be an apt descriptor for who I am. I joke, more often than not, and I never take myself seriously in game. I've been gaming in MMOs for quite some time, and have cultivated some great friendships along the way. I'm a seven year veteran of the RP scene, having GM'd RP events, and Co-GM'd a guild of 50+(City of Heroes: the Villain Group THE ARACHNOS ELITE). Profesonally I am a chef, with my hours starting at 0400 and going until 1200 daily (with weekends off). I've lived a very interesting life, and have settled down in the Deep South, Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I have been playing SWTOR since Launch, and have maintained my subscription. I've been a part of RP guilds that, due to "drama", fell apart. RP should be FUN! Recently, I have become interested in the Trooper/Military aspect of SWTOR. Thus, I created a "Combat Medic/ParaRescue" Smuggler/Scoundrel/Sawbones. Searching through the Ebon Hawk RP forums, I was lucky enough to come across the Alpha Company Thread. Extremely impressed with the detail and care with which you all have put into this website, and guild. I have crafted a simple backstory for him, with a bare bones structure. I love letting the RP interactions flesh out characters. On a side note, I do "Medical RP", and often there are some who have needle phobias, fear of visceral description, etc. In this, I WILL ALWAYS ask permission OOCly for this type of RP. NO EXCEPTIONS. I have always respected every individual's RP style, and have never violated that. This leads to a STRICT adherence to drawing the line between IC and OOC. Too often drama erupts because the individual(s) do not know the difference.

I do not claim to know everything about the gameplay mechanics of SWTOR and the various classes. YOU never stop learning. Being an "old dog", I can still learn new tricks!

I only hope that, if I am invited to join this guild, I will be positive addition to the story of the 203rd.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Respectfully, Jharan

Where did you hear about Alpha Company? Official Recruitment Post, The Ebon Hawk Forums.

    Character Bio:

Khol Jharan (pronounced COLE JERREN), was a prominent Trauma Surgeon on Coruscant. During the Sacking of Coruscant, he witnessed the devastation and loss of life visited upon the civilian populace of the City-Planet. After several months of careful consideration, Doctor Jharan chose to enlist, as he felt his skills as a surgeon would be better put to use on the battlefield. He joined and soon became a member of the *(insert SWTOR equivalent of the Air Force Pararescue Division HERE ), as a Combat Medic. As such, he has been trained in infiltration and tactics, to be more effective at retrieving Republic Personnel, should they need it. Since the arrival of the Zakuul fleet, his Unit has been dispatched across the galaxy. Their motto "No Cost too Great", is a moral imperative. For Specialist Jharan, there is no higher Calling. He will never stop. He will Always Find a Way.

(Perhaps his orders came in...being "re-assigned" to Alpha Company? Retasked as a Combat Medic. I'll leave this in your most capable hands )

Perhaps I am missing something, but I don't see anything on how to send a message via this website. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've sent an email, in game, to Illumori.
