  • (07|18|12) [AAR: Combat Patrol: Black Hole / Belsavis / Hoth]

    Planet: Belsavis, Hoth, Corellia

Formation Size: Full Ops, two squads.

Troops in Formation: Apparently my second print screen didn't capture, if I've missed you, please add your name down on the list below and I will add it.

Majo Alrek, Captain Qorbin ,Lieutenant Ricky, Sergeant-Major Rux, Drill Sergeant Kontraz, Sergeant Kjvago, Sergeant Ch'krosa, Jedi Master Rikai, Jedi Master Naya, Corporal Waters, Corporal Masin, Jarid'gax, Hepher, Nikolai, Marcelus, Skrend, Thesos, Æris, Fairbairn, Bough

Areas Patrolled: Belsavis Daily area, Black Hole daily area

Enemy Encountered: At the largest point, around 15. But it didn't last long.

Friendly/Neutral Encountered: A gunslinger who decided to tag along for some fun.

Positive Points: Everyone did well, people utilized their skills and co-ordination to their advantage. We all grouped together and seemed to have fun.

Negative Points: A bit chatty in mumble, recruits were getting a bit aggressive when calling out tactics (be sure to know that when you see a red person, the sergeant you're with or squad leader also sees it, no need to call contact more than once). I had a terrible headache, so I couldn't really get all hyped up. Imperials didn't show like we'd have liked.

From this point on I will have Thesos/Kontraz post about any major PVP patrol we do to hopefully stir the hornets nest.

I'd like to add a negative point. I was to understand that this was a pvp-rp event. When the pvp intensified then rp was thrown aside. We had captured 2 sith and were rping escorting them back. We were demanded to stop the rp and go join the pvp fight. Last I thought, rp was encouraged. And another thing, I wish that people would rp the contact of a sith and not open fire at sight. Makes things interesting. idk if im out of line for posting this, but its my opinion of what I would enjoy to see/do.

I'll add to that. I think we need to show more restraint as well, at least until their numbers pick up.

To the point of me telling you to stop the RP, you will always have to do this if people are being killed and calling it out in mumble. I wasn't there, all I heard was a large group of red, which actually meant 10-15, so I didn't have to stop the RP if I knew proper information, but as it was called, it seemed we were going to need everyone to fight in force. Which was not the case, I'll keep at it to make sure people give direct concise reports of what's happening rather than just "Sea of Red".

You are damaging my calm! RP has a time and a place Naya. Stopping in the middle of a large scale to chat just won't work. If it is a schedule event sure. OWPvP, not so much.

I'm sure a proper balance can be found concerning that topic. There are cases which RP must be set aside for immediate threats, but there are also certain times when it shouldnt just be totally ignored because there is the slight chance an imp might attack.

Depending on the situation, I'm sure two troopers could've been ordered to secure the prisoners while the rest went off to help in the battle. RP opportunities are rare while PvP is pretty consistent and common.

I agree with Ellos. As for Viozaer, i was to understand the event was rp-pvp. But when pvp gets intense, it becomes only pvp. It kind of makes A Coy look like a group of blood thirsty tyrants, or just some zerg pvp guild. RP is the main focus of this guild if im not mistaken. I dont want to see it fade away..... EVEN when the scales tip.

Not an issue for me. We own OWPvP. We are Alpha Company. If the other side was in on the RP side it might have been a different story, but all too often they are a bunch 12 years olds with no RP desire at all. I've been there and seen it.

I would just edit my name in, but I was there for the Black Hole.
