  • (03|08|12) [AAR: Combat Patrol: Hoth]

    Planet: Hoth

    Formation Size: 6

    Troops in Formation:
    Private Kjvago
    Private Xygna
    Jedi Advisor Ekoth
    Private K'rell
    Corporal Som
    Private Oz'kai

    Areas Patrolled:
    Highmount Ridge
    Subsections:
    Lenth Outpost (Imperial)
    Tromper Crags Geothermal Plant

    Enemy Encountered:
    White Maw Mercenaries and Droids
    The Black Hand (10+ Members)
    Other Imperials (5+)

    Friendly/Neutral Encountered:
    Jedi Consular (1)

    Positive Points:
Private K'rell spotted several Imperials in the Tromper Crags Geothermal Plant that we believed were farming the NPCs for Hoth Commendations. We mobilized all available men and women of Alpha Company to secure the area and allow the private to safely complete his mission. After the Tromper Crags Geothermal Plant was secured we regrouped and moved south to Lenth Outpost to for an assault. The Assault held up for about 30 minutes until the Black Hand responded in full force with well over 15 Imperials at level 50 showing up to defend. Alpha Company sent a clear message and the order came to retreat.

    - Effective use of luring out the Imperials from their base was employed. (Harpoon)
    - Jedi Avisor Ekoth was a valuable asset, scouting ahead and even in to the enemy base.
    - Before we were overwhelmed a wounded Imperial Agent attempted to retreat in to the outpost only to have the Corporal chase him down through the defensive turrets fire, returning to the following carnage caused by the reinforcements unscathed.
    - The level differences while creating a challenge at first taught us to adapt to deal with challenging situations such as this.

    Negative Points:
Lack of available reinforcements to deal with the superior strength of the Black Hand sent for retaliation.

Sounds like a wild time! I wouldn't say the lack of reinfocements is a negative as we will likely always be working with limited resources relative to the imperial side. In the face of overwhelming odds, it sounds like you guys did a really great job of holding your own. Way to go!
