Enemy Encountered: None, aside from House Thul and House Ulgo units.
Friendly/Neutral Encountered: None.
Contact Summary: At approximately 20:00hrs Est. Lt. Neves and a squad of the men of Alpha Company met in on the bridge deck of the Gav Daragon. There Lt. Neves briefed the troopers on their latest mission and deployment orders. To break the siege of Castle Organa, rout all Thul forces in the area, provide any aid that House Organa required. After going over the details of the mission, the squad deployed to the surface of Alderan. Once all forces were ground side, ghost squad was sent ahead of the main force to get eyes on the forward assembly area where Alpha Company where move out on foot from. Once the landing zone was deemed clear, the squad made movement to the Thul siege camp, while ghost reconed the area and searched or weak points. While en-route to the siege camp, Lt Neves' squad spotted and silently took out Thul scouts before crossing the larger river. Once all of the troopers were on the other side, Specialist Junlar came in to guide the squad into the camp without raising the alarm. Once inside however, a large battle erupted. After taking greater casualties than anticipated at the start of the engagement, the men rallied together and made a stand at then southern end of the camp. Outgunned, and outnumbered, the fighting men of Alpha Company were in their element! Making quick tactical decisions and movements, the squad went on the offensive and carved a path through the Thul defenders to the heart of the camp. Once there, the troopers executed every Thul officer in sight, and disabled several siege weapons and turrets before ex-filling into the cover of the mountains. With the Thul siege camp in flames, and without a command staff to lead them, the siege of Castle Organa was decisively broken. The squad then made movement to Castle Organa to regroup and assess the damage they and the defenders of the castle had taken.
After a short break and rest period, Lt. Neves bickered back and forth with the Organa Supreme Commander. Bound by their loyalty to the Republic Senate, the squad had no choice but to aid House Organa in its foolhardy mission... to assault and take Castle Panteer from House Ulgo. The strike team from Alpha Company wasn't equipped or manned for a full on assault, but rather for a quick reaction to reinforce the Organa forces and scatter House Thul's units. After assessing the Castle's defenses, Lt. Neves and Major Qorbin decided on a plan of attack. The squad would move quickly by speeder to wipe out the remnants of the Thul forces in the valley area. Once that was accomplished, they would then proceed to knock out the shield generators that protected the castle from artillery and close air support. Then ghost squad will link up with the Organa Marines and infiltrate the castle's higher levels to bring down the automated defenses. Once those were down, the rest of the squad would assault the castle head on, with as much fire support and ferocity as they could muster.
Once the plan agreed upon, the trooper quickly set about to carrying it out. After sweeping in on speeder bikes, the troopers cleared out one of the last Thul encampments in the area. There, Specialist Jaxin came upon a datapad with encoded intelligence that he handed to Lt. Neves. Neves then uploaded it to their ship the Repulse for decoding while carrying out the rest of the plan. After attacking and clearing the shield generators, Trooper Junlar set about to sabotaging the generators while Sgt. Chadeaux scouted out their path from there. Once the generators were down, the squad quickly rushed the guards on the bridges and islands that led to the castle's approach. Once the squad was set in their assault position, ghost squad detached from the main force and linked up with the Organa Marines behind Castle Panteer. The rest of the squad waited while Sgt. Chadeaux and Trooper Junlar infiltrated the higher levels of the castle and brought down its defenses. Seeing that the defenses were down, Lt. Neves and the men of Alpha Company charged right down the cratered road while ghost squad called in highly effective close air support. Once they were through the outer defenses and inside the castle the squad utilized their close quarters combat training and neutralized all opposition inside. Once they breached a pair of doors that held stairs which led to the upper levels of the defenses, the team moved to wipe out what pockets of resistance remained. In the upper levels of the castle, they came across an unusal cube shaped device, with a purple aura surrounding it. Reluctant to let this fall into Organa's hands, Lt. Neves made a decision and ordered the troopers to secure the cube before moving on. With most of the Ulgo forces either dead or scattered, Lt. Neves and his squad left the mopping up to the Organa Marines and made movement back to Castle Organa.
Once back at Castle Organa, the men sen about to caring for their wounds and cleaning their weapons. Lt. Neves reported back to the Organa Supreme Commander and left him to grovel at the feet of his Organa handlers for a promotion or whatever it is those "royal" pain in the asses do. Neves approached a Jedi who was residing at Castle Organa and inquired about this strange cube. The Jedi claimed that it may be a lost datacron from some time long passed, maybe stolen from one of the other houses. She said that she will ask others in her order about it, and would get back to the Lt. After all remaining business was settled, Lt. Neves formed the squad back up, debriefed them, and commended them on another successful mission and a job well done.
Positive Points:
Another successful mission in Alpha Company's ongoing storyline.
This should serve as a prelude to the joint RP event with Knights of Sokan.
Everyone who came said they had a blast! Look forward to doing more of these with even more members.
Good coordination in some heavy fighting at the first base.

Negative Points:
Average turnout, other members logged in during the event but could only stay online for a short time. In spite of the event being posted two weeks out both on the forums and in the message of the day, the turnout was decent, but could've been better.
Most who checked the forums came, however the overall number of those who checked was relatively small.
Some rough fighting and unanticipated guards and adds respawning led to a near wipe at the Thul siege camp. But thanks to the flexibility and effectiveness of our men, we prevailed.
Overall Assessment and Recommendation: Spread the word and get more people to attend regular events. Find ways to increase forum activity. With events like this posted well in advance of the date they are held, there is NO reason why we shouldn't have a near 80% attendance (leaving out those on LOA and those who said they can't make it.) If members would check all of the forums at least once a week, we should have higher attendance at these events. There will be new plan of regular events rolling out soon, I wish to see maximum participation at them when possible. Overall though, for those that did make it, I commend and thank each and every one of you. You're loyalty and dedication to the company will not go unnoticed or unrewarded.
