  • The B1-GIR0N on his hip

Haddick moved quickly through the underbrush of Alderaan. Still this long after the war between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic and there were many things wrong. This is why the Ord Mantell Irregulars were there, trying to bring assistance to any number of small communities that Ulgo has forgotten about. But even then, with Ulgo unilaterally pulling Alderaan out of the Republic, the Irregulars had to tread lightly when they went about. Several of their members had been accosted in areas friendly to Ulgo and a patrol came under ambush from some militia members tied to the newly returned Thul. No fatalities, but several casualties that were now holding up in an Alde-aligned homestead in the hills. Hills that made an airdrop of troops and materials damn near impossible. Add in the nearness of the village to House Rist, and a direct extraction would be impossible without serious resource use. Resources that were stretched too thin for the Irregulars.

This was where Haddrick was headed. He was the only medic within the Irregulars planetside who could potentially reach them within a reasonable time to apply medical assistance to the injured troops. The fact that he had started scout training was an added bonus.

And so Haddrick made his way in the crisp Alderaanian night, his Cathar senses assailed with the scents of a thousand small things while reaching out ever so slightly with his limited Force sense to ensure that none of the local Rists know that he was going through. With quick deft movements he avoided a lot of the attention he would be getting should he use the normal roads, and after over an hour and a half of trekking, checking, and ensuring attention was avoided he could see the homestead.

The problem is that the homestead they managed to get to was on the direct other side of the Rist village from the orders with the only good means of access it the main road through the village. With a sigh, Haddrick moved from his position and to the main road. There really was no way to make it through without being seen. Why not use some of that old fashioned Ord Mantell charm to get through? Even so, before reaching the road in plain view of the village he tapped his holster, feeling the comfortable weight of his blaster. It was a keepsake from his parents in Juhani Falls, a Maart'irobbuns designed BlastTech B1-GIR0N blaster pistol that had served him from his time as a militiaman back on Ord Mantell to his time with the Irregulars. It took a bit of wrangling to get the Irregulars to allow him to use it, but he liked his reliable old blaster. With a quick breath in and a moment to make his step more bouncy, Haddrik moved onto the road itself. He had to get through the village somehow. Time to try his luck.

May the Force be with him.
